Be Free Lake, Inc. now offers affordable and discounted price packages for Lake County agencies or organizations seeking to train their employees, volunteers, or professionals in the Adult or Youth Mental Health First Aid national certification courses. Price packages for groups that are in Lake County are outlined below. Prices are based on the current fees and are subject to change depending on updates made by MHFA USA.
WHAT IS MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID?
Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack — even if you have no clinical training — Mental Health First Aid helps you assist someone experiencing a mental health related crisis. In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations, and where to turn for help.
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour national certification course designed to educate and help participants identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health illness or crisis, until professional help is received, or the crisis is resolved. The course teaches a 5-step action plan that can be applied in a variety of situations. Participants will learn about local resources and help guide adults or youth to appropriate care.

*Please note that payment in full is due one month prior to the in-person class date and is non-refundable. This will ensure that all participants in your organization have sufficient time to complete the online pre coursework prior to the in-person class date. Each option includes two instructors per class and all materials.
